I love all three of these short essays. They are each a quick read, and will likely bring a secret smile to your face-- one that you notice several moments after it appeared, and you think, how long have i been smiling?It's hard to choose my favorite. The subject matter is varied, but each essay is made of the same witty dryness that Kelly can be relied upon for. Among contemporary authors, Kelly might be likened to Lemony Snicket, although I include that comparison only because people like comparisons, not because Kelly's voice is not completely his own. On the contrary, his literary voice and writing style is refreshingly original.
I also recommend his second eBook, "What To Say", which I have only just begun but already has me laughing out loud.

Dt Kelly's three short pieces have a Benchley kind of quality to them. Not the Benchley that wrote "Jaws" (Peter) but the Benchley that wrote all those cool dry essays that made you laugh long after you had read them (Robert). They are terse, inventive, and slyly humorous. Especially the title piece, about turning the ability to get lost into an art form.
